Eric Severson is a Hudson Institute-certified executive coach, three-time Chief People Officer, and faculty member at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business with over 30 years of experience developing leaders and shaping the future of work at some of the world’s best-loved companies.  Eric has held top leadership roles at Neiman Marcus Group, DaVita Inc., and Gap Inc., where he created pioneering programs in flexible work, bias interruption, performance management, and leadership development. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Fortune, and he has been a guest on numerous leadership and future-of-work podcasts. He is a contributor to the forthcoming book, Executive Coaching: Perspectives and Practices Across the Field. In addition to his corporate career, Eric has served on multiple non-profit and advisory boards and was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to the National Advisory Council on Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
