Bala also led the HR function for Americas Enterprise Business at Hewlett-Packard and has had leadership roles at Avaya Inc., Coca Cola Inc, and United Technologies Inc. He serves as Chairman for Balmer Lawrie – Van Leer Limited, a public industrial manufacturer in addition to the board of Center for Executive Compensation at Washington D.C. Bala earned a BS and MBA from the University of Madras. He also holds a MHRM Degree from Rutgers and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard.
