Nick Avery is CPO of Carta where he is responsible for the recruitment and development of people and careers. He joined from Blackrock where he was Global Head of Talent Management and lead teams in the US, APAC and EMEA. Prior to the Global Head of Talent Management role at Blackrock, Nick was Head of HR for APAC. He originally joined BlackRock as APAC Head of Talent and HR Business Partner for Client Businesses in Hong Kong. Previously Nick held senior HR positions in Asia and Australia with HSBC Bank, Foster’s Group Limited and Air New Zealand / Ansett Group.
