Monica Patel serves as Head of HR for Principal Asset Management. In this role, Monica partners closely with the CEO and executive leadership to shape and execute the organization’s global human capital strategy. Monica Patel leads a diverse team of HR professionals, driving initiatives that support business growth, talent development, and organizational effectiveness across international markets. Since joining Principal in December 2025, Monica Patel has leveraged experience from previous leadership roles, including Head of HR, North America and Global HR Business Partners at Invesco. Earlier in Monica Patel's career, Monica Patel spent over fifteen years at OppenheimerFunds and Citi, with assignments in both New York and London, building a strong foundation in global HR management and business partnership. Monica Patel holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The State University of New York at Binghamton and a master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Monica Patel is also a certified coach through the International Coaching Federation, reflecting a commitment to leadership development and talent empowerment.
