Ann Watson leads the People functions at Cover Genius. She is responsible for Talent Acquisition, Human Resources and Workplace Operations. In her role she oversees the team's relentless pursuit of the highest quality talent, of building a resilient, high-performing, and creating engaging and collaborative spaces where the Cover Genius team can work magic together. Prior to joining Cover Genius, she has been the top HR leader in multiple startups including Verana Health, Varo Bank, MasterClass and Fandom and has spent nearly her entire career working in Silicon Valley startups. She is a coach, facilitator and speaker, and has a deep passion for helping HR technology start ups thrive as a member of PeopleTech Partners. She has a degree from Santa Clara University and completed her coaching certification through the UC Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute. She is prone to occasional attacks of ultra marathons and triathlons.
