Dr. Amanda Welsh is Professor of Practice at Northeastern University and Associate Dean for Workforce and Economic Development, supporting programs that connect education to employment for hundreds of learners each year. She directs the Workforce Transformation Lab, which researches how technology is changing learning and hiring, and serves as Faculty Affiliate at the Burnes Center for Social Change, applying skillstech and GenAI to validate the Center's workforce courses. Prior to joining Northeastern, Amanda spent 25 years in Silicon Valley, co-founded two companies, and developed successful programs at Google and the Nielsen Company.
