
Barbie Brewer began her career in Silicon Valley during the Dot.com boom of the 90s. During her career, she has specialized in developing the C-Suite, culture, remote/hybrid workforces, and the future of work. Brewer’s expertise contributed to GitLab’s strong growth, from 150 employees to over 1,000 in over 60 countries, and Netflix’s growth from 20 million subscribers to over 150 million. She has led all HR and Talent functions, Internal Communications, and IT during her career. As an advisory/Interim HR Leader, she has worked with several successful hypergrowth companies, building out and coaching the C-Suite, primarily based in Silicon Valley and New York. While at Cisco, she lived and worked in Europe for 3 years. She is currently Chief People Officer for Camunda. While Barbie is passionate about her career, the future of work, and impactful leadership, she is most passionate about her family. She has two teenagers, a supportive husband, and three dogs. Her love of family and recognition of the necessity of strong leadership inspired her to write her book, Lead and Let Live.
